Julian Louie x Aldo Spring 2011
I re-tumbled this shoe on Sept. 15, 2010 and didn’t look into or think about them again until they reappeared in my newsfeed the other day on Facebook, thanks to my fellow fashionista-soror Ashley, who had just purchased them. I immediately commented and asked if they were from Aldo and she told me yes, the Julian Louie Collection. Bet! I went to the Beverly Center that day, walked in Aldo, asked the salesman if they had the….and he finished my sentence with, “Julian Louie? Yes, follow me.” LOL. And as destiny had it, they had one pair left in my size of the style I wanted! Copped! He said when they dropped, there was about 150 people waiting outside for the store to open that day. I’ve worn them out two times now and they literally stop traffic. (Am I right Ash?) I’m a substitute teacher and today I guess word had gotten out about this “sub and her shoes”, cause I had girls peeking in my room asking if they could see them, lol. Crazy right, but true story. So anyway, these were my bday gift to myself and even if you aren’t into fashion/shoes, you have to appreciate this well-crafted wedge….if you don’t, you hatin! ;)
